I decided for my first post I will share my most recent project. It is an end table that I bought at Goodwill which I sanded, primed, painted, decorated, and sealed. When I bought the table it was a hideous little thing.. the body was lightish brown wood, and then the drawer was stained or painted dark brown. The knob was some ugly little metal circle.
I have been working on this project on and off since Nate left on his deployment a month and a half ago. It has been a lot of work, but I really love how it turned out! Once I started decorating the table with flowers, I would geek out every time I caught a glimpse of it! Now I am finally finished, and ready to share pictures- which of course I don't feel do it justice.
This isn't it's permanent home, but it is really heavy so I didn't want to keep moving it. I figured the lighting would be best in the living room.
View from the front. I love the little glass knob!
View of the side.
One of my favorite patterns that I used.
Again, not the table's permanent home, but I thought I'd get a shot with my yellow bookcases in the background.
Now that I am done with this project I have to decide what I want to do with it. I was planning on selling it, but a.) I like it a lot, I am not sure I am ready to part with it, and b.) I am worried that it would break or get damaged if I ship it somewhere. If I do keep it, I have to decide where in my house it belongs.
On a more exciting note, now that I am done with that, I get to start a new project!
AHHHHH soooo cute! i love it and i love your blog :)
